St. Oswald´s Church Grasmere
Mostly frequented by visitors who want to see the Wordsworth family tomb, St Oswald´s Church is a beautiful building. The church holds a traditional rush-bearing ceremony every year on St Oswald´s Day, which dates back to the days when the floor consisted in earth covered with rushes. Next door to the church is the world famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop which is a must for visitors with a sweet tooth.
